What do you do at iMPROVE?

I integrate business requirements from customers (often on multiple projects at once, in different technologies and frameworks) directly into their web applications. In other words - I translate "we want it to know this" into code that works, lasts and even looks good.

What did you do before iMPROVE?

I used to pull internet cables around Liptov - literally. 😊

I gradually got into network administration and configuration, but I found that I enjoy creating software and working with technologies that the user sees on the screen much more than those that are hidden in the server room.

Why did you choose iMPROVE?

Because ugh ugh corporate approach to employees. I like flexibility, but I didn't want to be a full-time freelancer. iMPROVE gave me exactly that - freedom, but also a team I can rely on.

Who is Matej outside of iMPROVE?

I'm the type who doesn't sit at home. Alpine skiing, hiking, biking, motorbike - depending on the season and weather. That's probably why I'm so calm at work - I get my adrenaline pumping on the hills and on two wheels, so I can solve things with a cool head behind the computer.

Do you have any unique skills?

In critical situations, I can stay calm - I go and solve things, like Gizka Oňová. 😄

And they say I have the talent to "somehow" solve things that everyone else has already written off.
